The Force the phone system to in or out of office code

See our article on Dial Codes for specifics on where to configure the dial code used in this article. It is unconfigured by default.

This code is designed for random situations when you need to change the routes of all your lines to In or Out of office quickly with a single phone call. This dial code is unspecified by default for security purposes and when used, will set the whole bvoip Phone System to either:

Switching to “In Office” Hours

When the Administrator dials the office hours code followed by the digit 1, a prompt will announce that the phone system is now set to In Office Hours. This setting will override the current time and day, including holidays, and direct all routes of the Gateways, VoIP Providers, and DID/DDIs to the In Office Hours destination.

If your dial code is *4123: Dial *41231

Switching to “Out of Office” Hours

When the Administrator dials the office hours code followed by the digit 2, a prompt will announce that the Phone System is now set to Out of Office Hours. This setting will override the current time and day, including holidays, and direct all routes and DID/DDIs to the Out of Office Hours destination.

If your dial code is *4123: Dial *41232

Switching back to Default Office Hours

If the Administrator dials the office hours code without an appending digit, a prompt will announce that the Phone System is now using the Defaulted Office Hours. This setting will override the previous two commands and follow the office hours configured in the phone system settings.

If your dial code is *4123: Dial *4123

Use these frequently?

If you're using these codes frequently, you might want to consider setting up a BLF Key. You can set the Custom Speed Dial option to call any dial code, whether from a physical device OR the web client softphone.
